As the reservoir construction and development of the cause of the Yellow River irrigation,the launch of the irrigated water saving reconstruction project,sediment problems in the allocation of resources and environmental protection become an important factor cannot be ignored,sediment deposition in the reservoir,the building such as channels,wear turbine blade,directly affect the normal operation of hydraulic structures and the economic benefits.Sedimentation tank plays an important role in sediment treatment and is widely used in practical engineering.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the rectification and sedimentation effects of sedimentation tanks.This paper taked the wing sedimentation tank as the research object,conducted three-dimensional numerical simulation based on the FLUENT computational fluid dynamics software in ANSYS software,analyzed the distribution information of water and sand flow field in the sedimentation tank,and drawed the main conclusions as follows:(1)Useing the turbulence model RNG two-way equation model,combined with the VOF free surface tracking method,and selected the SIMPLE algorithm to carry out three-dimensional numerical simulation of the clear water flow field under the design condition of the sedimentation tank,and calculated the detailed flow field information,such as the flow distribution of the left,middle and right compartments of the sedimentation tank,water surface line,and section velocity distribution.The numerical simulation results was in good agreement with the experimental data,which indicated that the numerical model calculation was reasonable and the method was accurate.(2)Based on Fluent software,euler double fluid model and RNG turbulence equation were adopted.Unsteady PISO algorithm was selected for the solution of phase pressure coupling,and wen-yu model was adopted for solid-liquid exchange model to conduct three-dimensional numerical simulation of water and sand flow field in the sedimentation tank.The sediment trace,distribution of sediment concentration,the change rule of sediment concentration in section along water depth and the flow field information of sediment concentration at outlet were calculated.The calculated results was in good agreement with the experimental results,which verified the reliability of the mathematical model.
