Research On Figure Patterns In The Decoration Of Ancient Buildings In Zhejiang

Many ancient buildings have been preserved in Zhejiang area.Most of these buildings were built in Ming and Qing Dynasties and decorated with a large number of figure patterns.These patterns are rich in themes,decorating architectural space with two main types of narrative and non-narrative,and endowing different cultural meanings.At the same time,these patterns have various craftsmanship,appearing in various forms such as wood carving,stone carving,brick carving,painting and so on,and show different style characteristics in different regions.These characteristics reflect the cultural differences among different regions in Zhejiang,and reflect the social structure and the life style of residents in Zhejiang during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.On the basis of discussing the development process of figure pattern,this paper takes the figure pattern in the decoration of ancient buildings in Zhejiang as the research object,expounds its content,distribution,function and cultural meaning,and analyses the factors influencing the style of figure pattern.These factors mainly include economic value,social customs,population mobility,and religious beliefs.
