With the penetration of computer technology into engineering field,it is becoming a research focus in bridge design to study visual parametric design of bridge by integrating BIM technology with intelligent optimum design method.Development and research on visual parametric modelling and optimization of concrete arch bridge based on a bridge in Yichang,Hubei Province,is conducted in the thesis.Main contents are as follows:1?General procedure and method of parametric design as well as works on it at home and abroad is introduced,based on which some inadequacies in present research and application of parametric modelling are concluded.In addition,theories of structural parametric optimization and present research on it are illustrated.2?In aspect of parametric modelling technology on concrete arch bridge,ways of defining cross-sections of bridge components and calculating sectional property,followed by widely used 3D modelling methods,are generalized.To achieve parametric linkage between components,how arch bridge components are organized is analyzed.3?Based on the above parametric modelling principles and technologies,a parametric modelling system of concrete arch bridge has been developed using C++ combined with graphical user interface application development framework(Qt)and Visualization Toolkit(VTK).To build the visual parametric model of concrete arch bridge efficiently,the system accomplishes definition of parametric sections,calculation of reinforced concrete section property,the rendering of arch bridge components,calculation of coefficient of arch axis using traditional 5 points coincidence method,export of code for building model in ANSYS,etc.4?Based on the code exported from the system,Particle Swarm Optimization as optimization algorithm,coefficient of arch axis as main design variable(optimization parameter)and minimum bending moment of the arch as the objective function,optimization analysis of the reinforced concrete deck arch bridge in Yichang is conducted,which indicates the applicability of the system in visual parametric modelling and optimization of arch bridge.
