Electric power is the main energy source for daily production,work and daily life.Fiber optic differential protection is a more advanced protection in modern power system.It USES the difference of the current vector value at both ends of the transmission line to judge the fault within and outside the zone.When short circuit occurs outside the zone,the current vector values of the protection side and the opposite side are both positive or negative.When short circuit occurs in the zone,the current vector values of the protection side and the opposite side must be one positive and one negative.From the basic principle of relay protection,by comparing the current vector value flowing through the side of the protection and the opposite side,various faults in the area can be accurately analyzed.The principle is simple,the action is reliable,and it is more stable than the previous differential protection,which can protect the full length of the line.According to the purpose of this article is to figure Wang Jia line transmission situation,design a device through the optical fiber communication,for information exchange,so as to determine its trip computer optical fiber differential protection device,design by studying the protection principle and the communication data acquisition way choice,through the formula to determine whether a fault in the range of the protection device to protect the optical longitudinal differential protection action on the basis of respectively from differential speed and percentage differential is analyzed,the optical fiber communication in electric power industry standard applied to the design of the protection device,the tripping logic and remote communication design into a program written to the device processor,At last,the principle,logic and data collection are combined to establish the protection device model.The hardware facilities of each module are designed through the model.The functions and calculation methods of the protection device are input into the hardware through software programming.Device in figure Wang Jia line transmission lines to field experiment,by adopting different fault protection device for the functional check,prove that the designed device can handle individual grounding,and short circuit,different conditions such as three phase short circuit grounding fault,the correct action to protect the tripping,under different circumstances in over and over again in the process of design and test,improve the protection device design,and form a can be used in figure Wang Jia line microcomputerprotection device.
