Research On Transition Space Design Strategies Of Coastal Resort In Lingnan Area

Entering the 21 st century,“leisure” has become a new keyword for global economic development,especially the leisure industry represented by the tourism industry has become a new economic growth point.With the gradual maturity of the development of the tourism industry and the continuous development of China’s economy,people’s demand for tourism has changed from the previous sightseeing tour to the current leisure vacation.The current social hardware facilities have been unable to meet the growing leisure needs of the masses.In recent years,coastal resorts with the theme of ocean scenery have been increasingly sought after by the public and become synonymous with leisure vacations.The transitional space is not only a buffer for the external environment and hotel buildings,but also an important space for visitors to feel the seaside atmosphere and relax themselves.The advantages and disadvantages of the hotel greatly influence the quality of the leisure and holiday experience.This paper is a study on the design strategy of the transitional space of coastal resort hotels in the three provinces of Guangdong,Guangxi and Hainan provinces in Lingnan area.Mainly from the following aspects: First,combing the theoretical research on coastal resort hotels at domestic and abroad,analyzing the current research status and the development trend;Secondly,through the discussion of hotels,coastal resorts,transition space and related theories,the contents of the related objects and theoretical support are clarified;in addition,combined with some excellent coastal resorts in the Lingnan area for on-the-spot analysis,the four types of transition space: entrance space,lobby space,terrace space,corridor space Analyzed and clarified the concepts and components of these spaces,and combined the actual cases to analyze the different spatial forms of these four types of space.Finally,the paper discusses the influence of unique environmental factors in spatial design in Lingnan area,and combines leisure theory,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and environmental psychology theory to interpret and analyze the leisure factors of leisure and holiday and the psychological factors of leisure vacation.The physical and mental needs of the main users of space.Through the above series of research,the article puts forward the three principles of leisure,integrity and permeability around the transitional space design of the coastal resort hotel,and discusses the design strategies adopted by the transition space,including the integration with the natural environment and strengthening the coastal space sequence.Integrate regional cultural characteristics,select appropriate spatial scales,use garden landscaping techniques,and create composite functional spaces.Finally,taking the Sheraton Hotel Project of Zhanjiang Minda Plaza as an example,the above six strategies are applied to the design of transition space to create a good leisure and holiday environment,and further demonstrate the correctness and feasibility of this study.It is hoped that through the research of this paper,it will provide theoretical reference and new design ideas for the future transitional space of the coastal resort,and thus improve the comfort and happiness of the public leisure vacation.
