This paper mainly studies a new proposed damping device,variable speed mass damper.The main body of the research is the two basic structural forms of the variable-speed mass damper,the AOD structure and the Pro_TMD structure.In this paper,the AOD structure is studied by formula derivation,numerical simulation and finite element calculation.It is found that the actuator used in the AOD structure can be equivalent to the mass unit of AOD,and the single AOD and multiple AOD can be converted to each other..Finally,after a series of optimizations of AOD using the formula derivation method,two schemes are proposed for the parameter design of AOD.After studying AOD,it can be found that Pro_TMD obviously also has two characteristics of AOD: the actuator can be equivalent to a mass unit;a single structure and multiple structures can be converted to each other.Next,referring to the traditional TMD optimization method,the transfer function and Matlab are used to optimize the Pro_TMD.The optimization result is consistent with the TMD in form and can provide guidance for its parameter design.Then the combination of AOD and Pro_TMD is proposed and analyzed by Ansys.Finally,it is found that the effect of AOD and Pro_TMD is not coupled under the combined use form,and the shock absorption analysis or optimization design of the structure can be carried out step by step.First,the AOD analysis is performed on the main structure,and then the joint structure is analyzed by adding Pro_TMD.At the end of the paper,a finite element model is established for a real bridge,and the above-mentioned optimized design scheme is used for shock absorption analysis,and compared with the optimized traditional TMD damping effect.The analysis results show that AOD and Pro_TMD have much better damping effect than traditional TMD in the face of unknown earthquakes.At the same time,AOD damping effect is better than Pro_TMD.
