With the rapid development of China's economy,vehicles are playing more and more important roles in people's work and life,thus the sales of domestic vehicles are increasing sharply as well.Engine,known as the heart of vehicle,can directly dicide the core performance of the whole vehicle with its own quality,therefore,most engine plants have invested to test the performance of their peoducts.In traditional engine plants,hot-test is the most widely used method to test the assembly and working status of new engines.In recent years,however,due to its high energy-consumption,serious pollution and long cost of time,hot-test is being replaced by cold-test whose energy-consumption,pollution and time consumption is much butter.Thus the cold-test becomes the most commonly used method will be just a matter of time.Therefore,the blueprint of this thesis was established and researches were made to support it.A lot of examples of engine cold-test around the world have been studied to help find out the basic principles and measures of cold-test technology.Then,based on a certain type of engine,a plan of create a whole system of engine cold-test frame was advanced.The completely self-developed mechanical structure,hardware and software of data collecting/transmitting/processing system based on Infineon XC2234 L,CAN bus/USB bus/Zig Bee based data transmittion system,upper device software based on PC etc.The main work of this research has been listed below:(1)Found out and comprehended useful information of both cold-test and hot-test by studing on the documents and investigating in factories,including the structure of test instrument,the test process and parameters,the way of data processing,etc.Then write out a plan of create a whole system of engine cold-test frame.(2)Finished the selection of related devices and opponents,and testments were made to ensure these devices and opponents can work properly.(3)Finished the design and build of mechanical structures of the test frame.(4)Finished the design of data collecting system,including the schematic and PCB.(5)Finished the design of software system.(6)Testments were made to ensure the system can work properly.Cold-test not only can detect the problems the engines might have accurately,but also can calculate the possible causes of these problems,especially when data bases were established.This can provide powerful support to solve the problem permanently.During the test,however,miss reports were found,this means good engine might be detectd as bad and bad become good,which can not be tolerated.Thus hot-test is still needed as a support measure of engine test to provide this kind of miss reports.How to deal with such a problem is a tough work that must be done in the future.
