Under the influence of bad weather,military activities or other special important activities during the operation of the air traffic system,the flight transportation performance of the air traffic system will be damaged and lead to system vulnerability.This paper starts with the airport,air route and air control sector of the air traffic system,establishes an air traffic interdependent network,analyzes the performance of the air traffic system under the external disturbance,studies the causes of the vulnerability of the air traffic system,and finally some strategies is proposed to reduce system vulnerability.First,air traffic interdependent network is modeled and analysised.Using the complex network and its related theories,the three-layer network of airports,air routes and air control sector is constructed,and the air traffic interdependent network is constructed based on the multilayer network.The connection relationship between three layers of networks is established under the rules of air traffic management,and the fault propagation relationship between the layers is analyzed,which lays a foundation for studying the vulnerability of air traffic interdependent network.Second,the vulnerability of air traffic interdependent network is analysised.The structural vulnerability of the air traffic interdependent network is analyzed by using the connected subgraph,network efficiency and network structure entropy of the network.The traffic entropy and traffic flow loss ratio are used to analyze the functional vulnerability of the air traffic interdependent network.Based on the empirical analysis of the data in North China,the results show that the random disturbance has a greater impact on the air traffic dependent network;the airport network is the structural and functional fragile source of the network;The vulnerability of the network is related to the connection and traffic volume mismatch among the layer networks.Finally,the vulnerability of air traffic interdependent network is identified and improved.The self-organized critical theory is applied to analyze the extensive dissipative and the scale—frequency power law characteristics in the air traffic system.The results show that there is self-organizing criticality in air traffic system,which is manifested by cascade failure of network.Based on the vulnerability analysis of air traffic interdependent network,the critical threshold of network failure node is identified and the key important nodes are protected.According to the minimum sum of network traffic entropy,the node traffic of airport network is coordinated and controlled to improve the vulnerability of the network and optimize the flight transport performance of air traffic system.
