In addition to the advantages of shore-based High Frequency Surface Wave Radar(HFSWR),the shipborne over-the-horizon high frequency surface wave radar also has the advantages of flexibility and freedom of the platform. And with the continuous navigation of the ship,it is possible to carry out real-time monitoring of the sea state in a larger area. Therefore,it has become an indispensable means in marine remote sensing detection applications. However, since the shipborne Surface Wave Radar is installed on a movable platform, the interference of the platform motion to the Surface Wave Radar echo spectrum is increased, making the target detection relatively difficult. Now,there are few studies on the echo spectrum interference caused by the motion of the shipborne Surface Wave Radar platform. Therefore,it is studies in this paper that echo spectrum interference caused by the motion of the shipborne Surface Wave Radar, the model is establishes, and the simulation verification completed the in MATLAB environment, and the results applied in analysis of real measured data. The main work of the paper is as follows:1.According to the six-degree-of-freedom movement of the ship, the coordinate system of the shipboard platform was established, and the characteristics of each movement were analyzed and summarized.Using the established coordinate system,Simulate the echo spectrum and the target echo spectrum.According to the motion mechanism of Surface Wave Radar and the motion relationship between the target and the shipborne platform, the characteristics of sea clutter and target echo of shipborne Surface Wave Radar are analyzed and compared with the measured data.2.Aiming at the target detection application of shipborne Surface Wave Radar, based on the analysis of the characteristics of shipborne Surface Wave Radar target and sea clutter echo, the motion compensation processing method based on posture information is proposed for the echo spectrum broadening of sea clutter channel. The accuracy of the algorithm is verified by the simulated echo spectrum data under uniform speed,non-uniform speed and speed error.3.Based on the difference of the scattering cross-section area equation of the first-order sea clutter radar of the shore-based Surface Wave Radar and the shipborne Surface Wave Radar,a motion compensation method based on the first-order sea clutter radar cross-sectional area equation is proposed. At the same time, the method of estimating the navigation speed based on the widening of the sea clutter is derived.Combined with the obtained speed and compensation method, the sea clutter echo spectrum of the shipborne surface wave radar is compensated and processed.4.After comparing the two motion compensation methods, the motion compensation method based on posture information for shipborne Surface Wave Radar is selected. The echo spectrum simulation data of increasing target signal and the simulated echo spectrum data using measured posture information are processed. To compare with the measured echo spectrum shows that the echo spectrum simulation model used in this paper is more better.According to the compensation processing results of the simulated echo spectrum,it is found that the motion compensation method of the shipborne Surface Wave Radar based on the posture data is effective.
