With the development of technology,avionics systems begin to shift from federated architecture to integrated modular architecture,which has advantages and disadvantages.Federated architecture of each function is relatively independent,the use of hardware resources and special interface,data cannot be shared between functions,has the fault isolation ability of natural,the disadvantage of this architecture is to a variety of different computing systems,which resulting in a waste of the cost,weight and power consumption.Multiple functions sharing resources in an integrated modular architecture,operating in an integrated manner,and reduce the amount of hardware interface greatly,but the challenge is the problem of fault isolation,between functions using the same computing resource.Distributed Integrated Modular Avionics(DIMA)architecture combines with the design of federated architecture and integrated modular avionics(IMA)two Architectures,the physical distribution and the function comprehensive way,sharing two architecture advantages.Each processing unit in the DIMA system can be used for resident functions,and all functions in the system can share data,the required processing capacityand the number of hardware units requiredreduced overall.In this project,using DIMA module based on distributed module electronics(DME)to achieve relatively independent avionics functions,each DME with high reliability fault tolerant communication network system based on time triggered,whichprovides fault isolation transmission for DIMA subsystem.Based on time triggered mechanism,it provides time domain management for DIMA system and effectively improves bus efficiency.The DIMA hardware platform based on TTE network has high degree of integration,good maintainability,strong expansibility and flexible system scale.Using open architecture technology,distributed and integrated,solved the problem of large volume and weight,high power consumption,achieved the effect of physical distribution and functional integration.Themethod for combining using time triggered Ethernet and DIMA Technology,It shows the advantages of TTE in transmission delay and jitter,as well as time determinacy,high real-time and high reliability,good compatibility.The realization of this project lays the technical foundation for the development of the next generation avionics system.
