This paper introduces not only the process problem that occurred during the production of 10 KV grade high voltage electrical machine adopting Resin Rich insulation system,but also its solving process.Most parts focus on the voids problem in the mainwall insulation of the coil bars.In order to facilitate the reader to understand,in the previous chapters it is described that the role of insulation in the electrical machine,the characteristic of the two types of insulation system used in high-voltage electrical machine production,the composition and proportion of mica tape used in the main insulation,the impact of the voids on the product quality,the commonly used test methods,and the test equipment and methods used.Among them,the fourth chapter is the most important part,which introduces the actual background of resin rich insulation voids problem to study and the experimental design method(DoE)adopted to solve it.The DoE,which has been widely applied to industrial production in Europe and the United States,is based on statistical theory.It provides a relatively low cost and high reliability method for solving multivariable problems.It features theoretical logic and clear test steps,which make it easy for engineering and technical personnel to master.The aim of reducing the voids defects occurrence was achieved,which was verified during the succeeding batch production.This again proves the validity of the experimental design approach and further enhances the confidence of using the DoE method to solve the complex problems or optimize process design in the future.
