With the global energy constraints and the requirements of environmental protection,the requirements of the engine emissions are getting higher and higher,which makes turbocharger device come into being.According to the forecasts of market,the number of passenger cars using turbochargers in the world is expected to increase by 80% in 2017.The turbochargers will be fit on 36 million passenger cars sold worldwide.The passenger car with turbochargers has been already a trend in passenger cars,while the center housing is the core component of the turbocharger.The features of passenger car center housing: compact structure,complex structure,high performance requirements,casting and machining process is difficult,high precision and so on.In this paper,the research contents are as follows:1.Combined with years of experience in the processing of i center housing and client quality requirements as well as product dimension accuracy requirements,processing costs,processing efficiency,the company developed a new process line,greatly reducing the production cost of the product.2.During the parts clamping process,there may be some risks that parts of the positioning surface and the fixture can not effectively stick to each other.The parts clamping error and the impact of product accuracy are solved through the airtight detection device research and successful application.3.Through the study of reaming process and application,the research and improvement of reamer design selection,cutting parameters,machining allowance,cutting fluid,fixture equipment and testing are carried out.The reaming process successfully takes the place of the honing process,which solves the problem of the reaming hole diameter and straightness.Reaming process meet customer requirements.4.Through the test analysis of DOE and the analysis of the main factors affecting the contour of the improvement,it reduces the process of clamping deformation and cutting deformation,through a reasonable process control method,the contour process capacity to achieve mass production level.
