With the rapid development of the automotive industry, the automotive control unit design is put forward strict requirements.Currently,Development trend of control unit is more and more efficient, miniaturization, lightweight. This will lead to the density of components on printed circuit board layout is more and more big with the following of a sharp increase of the calorific value per unit area.Which requires the unit housing must have good cooling structure to ensure the discharge of the extra calories smooth. And,some control unit works in a bad environment. This requires the control unit must have high reliability.Throughout the factors influencing the reliability design of the control unit, the failure rate is as high as 60% caused by the high temperature,so the heat dissipation problem is very outstanding. This article mainly researches the heat dissipation problem for our product based on heat transfer theory by using the ANSYS.By comparing different solutions to eliminate thermal dissipation and find the best design option before finalizing the design. And then by testing the actual samples to compare the test results with the simulation result to determine the relative deviation.Mainly job in this article including below items:1)Create the 3D model of the control unit.2)To do the thermal simulation for the control unit, and define the best design solution base on the simulation results.3)Build rapid sample to do the actual test and compare with simulation result, then verify the simulation result and provide a reference for the future design and quoting.
