In recent years,China's automobile industry has been developing rapidly and automobile sales have been rising rapidly.However,the quality assurance system and quality control methods of automobile enterprises have not kept pace with the development speed of production,leading to the increasing n umber of recalls.In 2017,engine complaints accounted for 19% of total automobile quality complaints.Therefore,during this process,engine enterprises are faced with huge opportunities in the market,and at the same time,they are also faced with increa sing requirements of engine quality and cost from customers.With the current consumption upgrade,the automobile industry has changed from big to strong,and the quality of products has become the most important matter that the manufacturing enterprises h ave their lives at stake.The impact of any defect on product quality can lead to a fiasco in the competition.As an extremely complex mechanical product,the quality of engine depends not only on the machining accuracy of parts,but also on the assembly q uality.The study of engine assembly quality is of great significance to engine quality improvement.The engine structure and principle is complicated,and the engine assembly,monitoring process is very extensive and complicated.There is a lot of research at home and abroad of engine factories,about assembly methods,quality system,monitoring equipment.But in the process of our production and learning,it is important how to draw lessons from their mature system and improve ours.For example how to apply the theory to the assembly in the technical innovation and process improvement,effectively solve the quality problems of engine assembly,we need to continue to study.This paper takes B engine plant as the research object and elaborates the following contents in detail:1)Assembly line quality monitoring project,objectives and monitoring methods,and the principle of key monitoring equipment is described;2)Engine quality System,such as General Manufacturing System GMS,quality traceability System Flexnet,quality data collection and analysis System QDAS,etc.3)This paper introduces the main problems affecting the First Time Quality(FTQ)of the assembly line: low pass rate of valve clearance detection,w hich can be effectively improved by solving equipment problems,controlling the cleanliness of parts and optimizing the calculation formula of pillar.4)Low FTQ was detected in cold test,which was solved through parts consistency improvement and equipment parameter optimization;5)False torque problem of connecting rod bolt affecting the after-sales quality of the engine is solved by optimizing Programmable Logic Controller(PLC)and tightening program.In this paper the research results of B engine brou ght some actual benefit,the engine cold test and quality improved effectively with the valve clearance test,effectively eliminate the false connecting rod bolt torque at the same time,the device parameters,mistake proofing system optimization at the sa me time,to solve the same problem,and quality monitoring provides a good model.
