With the rapid development of the national economy,the power system is continuously upgraded and perfected.As part of the connection between power companies and consumers,the distribution network plays a decisive role in the power system,and the safety of the customers in the production and life.Electricity also relies on the safe and stable operation of the distribution network.If the distribution line fails during operation,it will directly affect the normal production and life of the customer.Smart distribution network is a hot research topic in recent years.The research direction of accurate operation and real-time monitoring of fault location system is very necessary.The 10 k V overhead line in the distribution network is the most important component.Due to its wide coverage area and complicated branch lines,the inspection and troubleshooting work requires a lot of manpower and material resources,so the fault indicator can quickly and accurately locate the fault.The occurrence point can help the maintenance personnel to restore normal power supply as soon as possible,improve the operation efficiency,and the reputation of the power supply enterprise is greatly improved.This paper first expounds the research background,significance and purpose of the fault indicator application system in the distribution line,briefly analyzes the classification and operation characteristics of the fault indicator,and simultaneously supplies the system structure,working principle and several instruments of the fault indicator.The comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the method is introduced,and the indication principle of the fault indicator under various short-circuit faults is studied in detail.Secondly,the power supply scheme of the fault indicator is introduced.The scheme of taking power through the current transformer is analyzed in detail,and the advantages and disadvantages are discussed to improve the problem of large current impact and dead zone,and the reliability of fault indicator fault detection is improved.Finally,the communication device and communication method used by the fault indicator system are described.Combined with the fault indicator,an online monitoring system is designed,which can quickly locate the fault point and display the fault type,and then solve the fault indicator through improvement measures.The wrongaction problem greatly improves the accuracy of fault location.The operation and maintenance personnel of the distribution network can locate the fault point more quickly,know the fault type in advance,greatly shorten the inspection time for finding the line fault,greatly improve the response to the line fault and the processing speed,and improve the defect of the maintenance personnel.The processing efficiency guarantees the safe and stable operation of the 10 k V distribution line.
