| Since the 21 st century,ecological environment has aroused wide concern with the gradual deepening of urbanization,which makes many people to get a better sense of the importance and value of green space construction.As a subsystem of the ecosystem,the urban green space system(UGSS)plays an important role in promoting the quality of the city’s ecological environment.In 1992,Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural of People’s Republic of China(MOHURD)forwarded the “National Landscape Garden City” plan,thus leading to the remarkable growth of the planning and building of urban green space system nationwide.In 2004,MOHURD put forward an ambitious programme,i.e.“National Ecological Garden City” plan,which focuses on balancing the overall environment and social ecosystem of the city rather than improving green space quantity merely.The expectations of National Ecological Garden City plan involves the formation a better ecological environment and living environment,the perfection of related green space facilities,and harmonious evolution of human and nature.In response to the expectations,the scope and depth of the research of urban green space system,as well as the corresponding methods,have experienced significant growth.Recent researches on UGSS planning have paid more attentions on the ecological reasonability,the correlation of systems and the detailed services,where multi-technical methods have been utilized with a multi-angle fashion.In the new era,UGSS based on “Ecological Garden City” will come into focus on the construction of ecological networks,the integration of city characteristic elements,the prolongation of green space functions,and the promotion of ecological restoration.Therefore,a superior UGSS planning should be established through the exploration of municipal ecosystem,urban green space framework,green space quality and service,as well as ecological environment characteristics.This thesis takes an example of Yancheng,a city aimed at “National Ecological Garden City”,to illustrate the downsides of current UGSS construction,such as the systematic lack of urban ecological framework,the deficient guidance from downtown UGSS,the insufficiency of park green space services and the insignificancy of regional character of a city.Based on recognition of current UGSS in Yancheng,the optimized protocols are proposed in this thesis,which are shown as follows:1)An urban-rural integrative UGSS is established through the combination of artificial and natural elements as well as the utilization of a“matrix-plaque-corridor” model based on spatial pattern of networked ecological green space.2)A new downtown UGSS framework featuring high guidance property,which oriented towards functions,is provided.3)To improve the service ability of park green area and to achieve full broadband coverage of “ten-minute park green area service”,some measures,including the setup of permanent green space,the enhancement the ability of greening services around the community and the combination of sports and fitness functions of park green space,should be taken into consideration by using advanced technologies.4)A restoration tactic of the rivers through controlling the river line rate of public green area,that associated with traditional characteristics of Yancheng,the so-called“a city of hundred rivers and a capital of wetlands”,is offered in this thesis.Based on the summaries and explorations from an actual project,a scientific experience of UGSS planning aimed at “Ecological Garden City” can be generated in this thesis,which has great potential to popularize in future. |
