Traditional vapor compression air conditioning systems needs condensation dehumidification to handle latent load,leading to a low coefficient of performance and indoor air pollution.Recently,to improve the coefficient of performance and enhance the dehumidification ability,researchers proposed temperature and humidity independent control system,which is combined with desiccant cooling system and heat pump.However,the temperature and humidity independent control system is too complex and expensive.Based on the desiccant coated heat exchanger,a novel desiccant coated heat exchanger based heat pump air-condition cycle is presented in this paper.The novel air-condition cycle can improve the coefficient of performance and solve the problem of air pollution.Also,the novel air-condition cycle is much less complex than temperature and humidity independent control system.Through the establishment of experiment table,firstly,the performance under typical summer condition of the novel desiccant coated heat exchanger based heat pump air-condition cycle is tested.The average air supply temperature,average moisture content of air supply,average dehumidification capacity and COP are tested.The results show that the COP of the novel air-condition cycle can reach 6.3 when the supply air conditions and the refrigerating capacity are satisfied..Then,the influences of key operation parameters are analyzed.Variable-controlling approach is used in the experiments.The performances of the novel air-condition cycle are tested under different fresh air temperature,return air temperature,moisture content of fresh air and moisture content of return air.The results show that the change of the fresh air temperature can influence the supply air temperature,the change of the return air temperature can influence the supply air temperature and COP,and the change of the moisture content of fresh air and return air can influence the supply air temperature,the moisture content of supply air,the dehumidification quantity and COP.
