Reinforced concrete dome structure using inflated forms is a kind of concrete thin shells using a new construction technology.An air inflated membrane dome is employed as construction formwork and polyurethane foam of certain thickness is sprayed on the inner side.Then the steel banding and shotcrete are finished.The structure has a beautiful appearance,short construction period,simple construction process,low cost,less pollution and little impact on the environment.It can be used in the construction of civil and industrial buildings such as stadiums,exhibition halls,silos and so on.It has great promotion prospects in China.In this paper,“Variable Section Method” and finite element analysis software SAP2000 are used in construction simulation of this structure.The effect of initial geometric imperfections on the overall stability of the structure is investigated and the most unfavorable initial geometric imperfections are selected.Research results show that in the shotcrete progress of the upper sphere and the lower cylinder,the structure deformations occur mainly in the construction sphere during the spherical shotcrete construction process,and the vertical deformations are greater than the horizontal deformations.For each construction stage,horizontal deformations are in the normal direction.Horizontal deformations of the cylindrical structure in the construction process are outward along the normal direction of the cylindrical.Horizontal deformations of the spherical structure in the cylindrical shotcrete construction process are outward along the normal direction,and they are inward along the normal direction in the spherical shotcrete construction process.Shotcrete thickness and whether it is the same thickness have a significant impact on the deformation of the structure.The initial geometric imperfections have a great impact on the overall stability of the structure.In the setting of three different buckling conditions,when in the same initial geometry defect distribution mode,the variation laws of the overall stability coefficient with the increase of maximum calculated values are very similar.The most unfavorable initial geometry defect distribution mode is not the first order buckling mode of the structure.
