The valve train is an important component of the diesel engine.The dynamic characteristics on valve train is one of the main factors affecting engine performance.The valve train is working under the impact of alternating load,high temperature and combustion atmosphere.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the dynamic of valve train.In this paper,we establish the multi-body model of the valve train based on a certain type of marine diesel engine.AVL EXCITE compared with the ANSYS is used to do dynamic analysis for the valve train at rated speeds,the analysis show that the intake and exhaust cams work well and the inlet and exhaust valves work well,and the results are basically consistent with the results of the ANSYS multi-flexible dynamics calculation.In this paper,we study two important factors that affect the dynamic state of the valve train: speed and friction coefficient.The analysis show that the force of the intake and exhaust cams and the intake and exhaust valves also increase with the increase of the camshaft speed;In the semi-dry friction,the friction of the friction pair becomes larger.In the dry friction,the friction is increased so much,too.In this paper,the method of multi-body dynamics to calculate the dynamic characteristics of the valve train has a certain significance for the study of the dynamics of the valve train.The analysis of influencing factors has played a good guiding role in the design of this diesel engine.
