Abstract/Summary:
As one of the key executive components of the brake rigging device on urban rail vehicle,the brake disc plays a play a vital role in the security of the train operation.As a part to absorb heat energy,the brake disc must absorb most of frictional heat energy which the kinetic energy will convert to.Due to the requirements of the disc working condition,it is not only necessary to have good ventilation and heat radiation for the structure of the brake disc,but it also is essential to have the reliable connection.At the same time,the brake disc material is required to have good abrasion resistance,good mechanical properties and crack resistance.In this paper,the brake disc is studied on the basis of the characteristics of disc-type braking system in urban rail vehicle in China.The main contents include technical requirements,material research,structural design,process development,test validation and the vehicle test for the disc.The characteristics of the foundation brake rigging and the requirement of the disc will be introduced in the part of technical requirements.In the material research part,the performance of several common cast iron materials is compared on the basis of disc material requirements.it is determined that the vermicular cast iron is a preferable material for the disc used in urban rail vehicle.Also the frictional and wear properties are studied for the compatibility of friction pairs.In the structural design part,the research includes the ventilation of the disc and the reliability of connective structure.Also the thermal-mechanical coupling is analyzed to test the thermal capacity for the disc structure.In the process development part,the manufacturing process is discussed for the disc.The hot-working,cold-working and key control points are studied in this part.The test for the disc sample is also finished.In the test validation part,the items are studied for routine test and type test during the productive process.In the 1:1 Brake Dynamic Test Rig,both the condition of the surface temperature on the disc and the frictional coefficient between brake pad and disc are studied on the simulative condition of actual braking.The appraisal program,assessment standard,experimental result in the condition of no-load and heavy-load are introduced in the vehicle test part.The requirements,material,structure,process,experiment and test for brake disc are studied through the topic research.The brake disc products are developed for urban rail vehicle.The research helps to break the monopoly of foreign enterprise,which has a significant social and economic benefit for the development of urban rail vehicle system in China.
