Research And Application Of Evotherm Warm Mix Asphalt Mixture In Alpine Region

In recent years,the development of China’s highway industry has achieved remarkable achievements,and asphalt pavement has always been in a dominant position.Among them,the hot mix asphalt mixture has high strength,excellent road performance and is generally used,but it will produce a pungent smell during the mixing production process,and the energy consumption is relatively large.Although the hot mix asphalt mixture is widely used,its application in the alpine region is limited by geographical location and environment.This project relies on the G219 Xinzang Highway to study the Evotherm warm mix asphalt mixture.This paper through the indoor experiment study,the optimal dosage of Evotherm warm mix agent is 1%,the optimum proportion of warm mix asphalt mixture was 4.9%,the determination of warm mix asphalt mixture mixing temperature of 125 ℃,the molding temperature is 115 ℃,and examined respectively under the same conditions of warm mix asphalt mixture with hot mix asphalt mixture of road performance: Warm mix asphalt mixture with hot mix asphalt mixture Marshall immersion residual stability,freeze-thaw splitting tensile strength,high-temperature stability,low-temperature anti-cracking performance meet the JTG F40-2004 requirements,specific heat and warm mix asphalt mixture mixing residual stability of asphalt mixture ratio,freeze-thaw splitting tensile strength ratio,dynamic stability,low-temperature bending failure strain increased by 5.2%,2.5%,10% and 2.5% respectively.According to the laboratory test to guide the physical engineering,in the national highway G219 xinzang highway paving test section,after comparison and inspection,the conventional hot mix asphalt mixture compaction degree can not meet the standard and engineering quality requirements,Evotherm warm mix asphalt mixture compaction degree can meet the standard and engineering quality requirements.Through the large area implementation of Evotherm warm mix asphalt pavement construction and inspection,it can meet the requirements of highway asphalt mixture specifications,for similar projects in the cold area application of warm mix asphalt construction provides a basis and reference,has a certain significance.
