Abstract/Summary:
With the development of society,the urban road design cannot meet the needs of residents for street space.The design of urban road should be changed to a street model which pays more attention to scene experience and multi-function.Especially in the living street,people and cars are mixed,there are various stalls,shops,people shopping,leisure,communication,traffic in the street,so the living street is very complex.Normative batch road duplication is not suitable in the diversified Street functions and scenarios.At this time,street design needs to change from batch duplication to individual customization.The users of living streets are human beings,so it is necessary to study the pedestrian traffic on living streets.In the current study,I firstly investigated and analyzed the basic parameter of pedestrian flow and pedestrian walking characteristics in living streets,and described the static features in living streets.In the basic parameter of pedestrian flow,the "speed-density" and "flow-density" models of pedestrian in living streets are constructed.In the analysis of pedestrian walking characteristics,I firstly analyzed the “speed-stride – step frequency” of pedestrians in living streets,and then analyzed the effects of several factors,including gender,age,baggage carrying,partner,booth density,and wearing high heels,on walking speed,stride and step frequency.Then,the article introduces the principle and development of social force model,and optimize the initial social force model considering the corrective factors such as pedestrians’ behaviors and obstacles,and the relative speed of pedestrians.The study pointed out the importance of attraction through the investigation of the pedestrian movement in the living street and added the attraction of the booth to the pedestrians and the attraction between the members of the companion group in the model.Then,I re-marked the model parameters in IV combination with the actual situation and a social force model suitable for living streets was established.The optimized social force model is simulated and validated by using MATLAB.The simulation results show that the improved social force model can effectively describe the movement of people on living streets.On this basis,we simulate three scenarios on the living street.The simulation results verify the practicability of the model in the street design.It can provide theoretical basis for the planning and design of pedestrian facilities on the living street,provide decision support for the street managers,and improve the design method of the living street.
