Study On The Application Of Natural Elements In Urban Underground Public Space Environment Design

China is currently in the period of accelerating urbanization.The drawbacks of urbanization lead to huge contradictions in the use of ecological space and living space.Therefore,the development and utilization of underground space has become an inevitable choice for the sustainable development of China's cities.However,the urban underground space is closed,resulting in a great difference between its internal environment and the ground environment.Besides,design drawbacks of the rigid model are prominent,which makes people have a negative impression on the underground space both physically and psychologically.At the same time,in this reinforced concrete city,people are eager to get in touch with nature and get close to nature.Under such a background,we need to study an environmental design method that uses natural elements as the design language to improve the environment of urban underground space,so that urban underground space would truly become the living space that people need.Through the field investigation and questionnaire survey in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province,this paper would first analyze the existing problems of underground public space in Taiyuan and the subjective evaluation of users.Secondly,taking people's expectation of introducing natural elements and human needs in urban underground public space as the main starting point,the corresponding relationship between each part would be established,and a model of using natural elements in the design of urban underground public space would be constructed.Finally,taking this model as a strategic guide and with reference to various spatial design cases,specific approach and strategy to improving urban underground public space would be proposed;and ecological natural elements,procedural natural elements and imagery natural elements would be introduced into the design of underground space.This pater aims to fundamentally solve the existing problems including lack of natural environment and dull design of urban underground public space.Hoping to provide reasonable and effective guidance for the application of natural elements in urban underground public space environment design.In order to meet the emotional needs of people returning to nature,and to improve the utilization of urban underground public space.
