Study On Urban Evolution Under The Development Of Coal Industry Of Fushun

Coal resource-based city is an important type of the resource-based cities in China.Coal industry occupies a leading position in these cities for a long time.These cities evolve through the rapid development of coal industry and the city constructions around this single-core industry.Coal industry leads to the formation of Fushun and promotes its development.At the beginning of the 20 th century,the aggression of imperialist countries broke the original economic structure of Fushun.Since then,the coal industry in Fushun has risen rapidly and become the absolute leading industry in the city.The construction of the city is centered on the coal industry.The development model of “mine precede over city” makes Fushun become an important coal resource base,especially during the colonial period and the planned economy period.Therefore,the development track of the coal industry is consistent with the development stage of the city,the rise or decline of mine decides the situation of city,this is an obvious characteristic of these cities.Based on the research on the development of Fushun coal industry,this paper aims to explore the characteristics of different stages of urban evolution under the development of coal industry,as well as the mechanism of action and urban development model of urban development.Simultaneously,using the coupling relationship analysis to explain the impact of coal to cities during urban transition period,so as to summarize the problems in the development of Fushun,and put forward relevant planning countermeasures.Firstly,the development process of the coal industry in Fushun was divided in five stages: the start-up period,the imperialist invasion period,the tortuous development period,the pre-transformation period and the industrial transformation period,and then,summarize the different characteristics of the coal industry development in each period.The city’s coal industry directly affects the city’s industrial structure,spatial layout,development direction,and the urban form,and has played a guiding role in the development and evolution of the city.Furthermore,analyze the characteristics of urban development in the different periods of Fushun coal industry.It is concluded that the urban development of Fushun can be divided into the following four stages,namely: the evolution from dispersed industrial and mining sites to agglomeration,the separation of mining cities under the preferential development of mining areas,the reunification of mining cities under the decline of coal industry and the transformation of cities under the regression of human settlements functions.And then,related to the city evolution in different stages,analyze the city’s changes in the direction of urban development,development focus,urban form,spatial layout and so on.Through the study on the function mechanism of coal industry on the evolution of Fushun,the paper concludes the urban development characteristics of Fushun,which are the interpenetration of factories and cities,the separation of mining cities,the dependence of traffic stations and the axial expansion,and presents the urban development model of point expansion,connection expansion,separation and reunion of cities and mines.By building the coupling model between Fushun coal industry and urban development,analyze the influence of coal industry on urban development in the period of urban transformation.The research shows that after entering the 21 st century,the coupling degree between coal industry and urban development in Fushun is low,and the development model centered on coal industry is no longer suitable for the development of cities.Currently,adjusting industrial structure and promoting urban transformation have become the main problems in Fushun.Finally,according to the needs of urban development,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions: establishing regional coordination mechanism,promoting complementary advantages;promoting the coordination of mine and cities,integrating urban land resources;promoting reindustrialization and post-industrialization in order to promoting Urban Transition.Through the study of the coal industry and urban evolution of Fushun,as well as their related mechanism,I hope to provide useful reference for the development and transformation of coal resource-based cities in China.
