With the advancement of technology and the improvement of living standard,cars have become an indispensable transportation for thousands of families.However,this transportation system has improved people's quality of life while causing more and more severe traffic congestion.In order to solve the problems brought by transportation,many countries have started research work on intelligent transportation systems that optimize traffic strategies.An intelligent transportation system based on digital infochemicals is proposed in this thesis which aims to apply the pheromone principle of ant colony algorithm to urban traffic,using the vehicles as intelligent bodies which leaving digital infochemicals on the road while the vehicles are driving.The digital infochemicals are similar to the ant colony pheromones,they have the characteristics of evaporation and aggregation.The traffic system timely adjusts the duration of the traffic light according to the amount of infochemicals on the roads,and then we simulate the simulation model on the urban traffic simulation platform to reduce the waiting time and queue length of vehicle in the front of the traffic light.At the same time,we ensure the credibility of the simulation results through model verification and validation.In addition,the actual vehicle traffic information is simulated,and compare it with the fixed traffic system with a constant phase length and a traffic system based on the number of vehicles changing the phase duration.The results show that under certain circumstances,the effect of the digital infochemicals-based intelligent transportation system coincides with the traffic condition of the vehicle number-based traffic system,and it can significantly reduce the queue length and waiting time of the vehicle.Furthermore,in the intelligent transportation system,when the multi-parameters affect the traffic results,the workload of finding the optimal solution using the enumeration method is too heavy,so a parameters optimization method based on the genetic algorithm is proposed.And the result obtained by the genetic algorithm shows that the parameters optimization method is efficient,fast and stable,and the intelligent transportation system can effectively reduce the average queue length of the vehicle when parameters got by genetic algorithm.
