Recently,with the rapid development of UAV industry,the application of civil UAVs is becoming more and more diversified.Its demand for communication has not only been limited to point-to-point between UAVs and remote controls but shows the trend of close combination with cellular mobile communication technology,becoming "netted drone." To ensure the safety and reliability of UAV communication,characterizing the channel model is very important.However,the common channel models are mostly modeled in the two-dimensional plane,even the 3D expansions only consider the characteristics of terrestrial users,which cannot meet the requirements of the drone channel.To describe the UAV air-to-ground channel more accurately and comprehensively,we consider the characteristics of both ends and make a statistical channel model in three-dimensional plane based on the traditional WINNER model.The main work of this paper is listed as follows:Firstly,based on the motion characteristics of UAV and 3D MIMO technology features,the idea of using 3D MIMO stations to provide communication services for drones is proposed.We build the 2D MIMO Kronecker channel and 3D MIMO Kronecker channel based on the WINNER standard,and discuss the influence of the angle parameters on the system performance in the 3D channel model.The simulation results show that the signal can be better transmitted in the three-dimensional space due to the addition of the elevation angle in 3D MIMO,which improves the channel performance.Secondly,we analysis the statistical features of angle parameters on both ends and use the Gaussian distribution,exponential distribution and VMF distribution model to fit the statistical data.According to the variation of statistical data,we introduce a high correlation factor to the VMF distribution.Then,the high related angle parameter model is proposed.Experimental simulation results show that the improved model is more suitable for describing the distribution of angular parameters in 3D scenes.Finally,we use the improved parametric model to build the 3D UAV channel model based on the WINNER+ model,explaining the specific process of parameter generation and calibrating the path loss model of UMa(RMa)LOS scene.The system performance of the drone transmission channel is given in the end. |
