| In recent years,China had strengthened the protection of traditional villages,various policies and opinions had led to the improvement of the protection,inheritance and utilization of traditional villages.However,there are still some misunderstandings in some measures of traditional protection,which lead to the decline and extinction of villages.Five representative traditional villages in northeast Sichuan were selected in this paper.Based on field research,spatial syntax theory and analysis method were used to analyze the spatial pattern of traditional villages.Based on the comprehensive analysis of results about syntactic and field investigation,this paper proposed to reveal the site selection,settlement space and architectural space characteristics of traditional villages from three levels: environmental space pattern,settlement space pattern and architectural space pattern.Finally,this paper summarized the influencing factors and overall characteristics of the spatial pattern of traditional villages in northeastern Sichuan.Through the analysis of this paper,the following conclusions are drawn:First,the natural environment of traditional villages in northeast Sichuan plays a decisive role in the formation of spatial pattern.Topography plays a decisive role in forming the spatial pattern of environment and settlement.Terrain slop directly affects the formation of settlement morphology and road spatial structure.Secondly,the traditional Chinese geomantic omen theory has influenced the landscape pattern of villages,revealing that the formation of traditional villages in northeast Sichuan is inseparable from traditional culture.Thirdly,the traditional production and life style,customs and habits as well as the ideology of rites and clan culture have a great influence on the formation of architectural spatial pattern.Architectural space is the most intuitive perception and cognition of people,so the elements of humanistic environment are the fundamental reason for the formation of its spatial pattern.The achievement of this research is that taking a new perspective to analyze spatial pattern characteristics of traditional villages in northeast Sichuan,and trying to put forward the application of space syntax in the study of traditional village space.It is expected to improve the research results of quantitative analysis of regional traditional villages in China and provide theoretical and technical references for the protection and development of traditional villages in northeast Sichuan. |
