With the development of space technology,the space structure is becoming larger and more flexible.As the commonly used actuator in space missions,the control torque gyro attracts the attention of scholars because of its coupling effect with the sturcture.As important parts of the deployable structure,the nonlinear mechanical properties of elastic preloading constraints have an important influence on the structure.This paper studies the dynamics of a gyroelastic structure with the preloading constraints.The main work and contribution are as follows:The concept of original modes and critical modes of gyroelastic structures are presented first,according to the convergence analysis of modal superposition method.It is necessary to involve the critical modes while using the original modal superstition method,since the real inherent characteristics of the gyroelastic structure have changed due to the gyro coupling effect.The dynamic modeling idea of gyroelastic structures using finite element method is proposed under the limitation of modal superposition method,and the equivalence between finite element method and entirely modal superposition is proved.The results show that the gyro coupling effect can change the inherent characteristics of the structure,yielding the structure becomes more flexible and the coupling vibration in different directions.Additionally,three-dimensional beam elements for elastic preloading constraints of axial tensile and longitudinal twist are established.The phenomena that low-order vibrations are transferred to higher-order vibrations under the preloaded constraints are observed.
