Traffic light codec can broadcast traffic light information,and provide vehicles and pedestrians with fast non-visual access to traffic light messages,which is conducive to improve traffic efficiency.Pedestrians are vulnerable in traffic accidents.Pedestrian detection can identify pedestrians from traffic participants,which can avoid vehicles colliding with pedestrians to reduce traffic accidents.Urban intersections with complex scenes and large traffic flow are high incidences of traffic accidents and traffic jams,so that it is of great significance to study the traffic light codec and pedestrian detection at urban intersections to improve the safety and driving efficiency of IoV.At present,the domestic and international protocols of IoV define the basic content and application scenarios of traffic lights.However,with the development of IoV applications,the content and format of the existing methods of traffic light codec cannot meet the needs of practical application scenarios at intersections.Current researches on pedestrian detection are mostly based on images and videos,and have the problem of long processing and difficult data collection.Therefore,traffic light codec and pedestrian detection are still the difficulties in the study of IoV.Focused on the shortages of the existing traffic light codec and the efficiency requirements of pedestrian detection,this thesis studies the optimization of traffic light codec methods and pedestrian detection methods based on multiple motion features.First of all,the thesis adopts I2 X communication framework,which collects the information of vehicles and pedestrians from roadside devices,and uses roadside units,onboard units,and smart phones to achieve information exchange and information transmission.In order to reduce the time consumption on pedestrian detection,this thesis designs a pedestrian detection method based on four typical motion features: position,speed,density,and direction.It analyzes the information of smart mobile terminal,which collected by the roadside device,and determines whether the mobile terminal carrier is a pedestrian.In order to allow road users to obtain traffic light information in real time,the thesis designs an optimization method of traffic light codec in combination with SAE J2735 and TCSAE 53-2017 to provide message receivers with information such as status,location and time of traffic lights at intersections.The optimization method uses the internal display device to verify the availability of the traffic light codec method,calculates the speed of vehicles based on vehicles' status,pedestrian detection results,and traffic light information,and improves traffic efficiency on the premise of ensuring traffic safety.The experimental part of the thesis establishes the test scene to verify the function of traffic light codec method and pedestrian detection method based on I2 X,and produces experimental data.The final experimental results show that the method of traffic light codec and pedestrian detection proposed in this thesis can effectively improve driving safety and traffic efficiency.
