Gear transmission system is used in large construction machinery and plays an irreplaceable role due to its advantages such as wide transmission power,high speed,high transmission efficiency,strong bearing capacity and smooth transmission.How to improve the quality of gear,optimize the tooth surface,improve the meshing performance of gear,reduce vibration and improve the processing efficiency has become the gear manufacturing industry and our researchers cannot be ignored.In this paper,the influence of tooth surface modification optimization and tooth surface finishing on tooth surface performance is analyzed and studied theoretically.Firstly,through the analysis of the multi-resolution theory of wavelet transform,it is concluded that the high frequency signal is the roughness value and dimensional precision factor that affect the surface quality of the workpiece,and the low frequency signal is the shape precision factor that ensures the contour shape of the workpiece.At the same time,according to the characteristic and mathematical representation of b-spline wavelet,the mathematical expression of multi-resolution representation of tooth surface is deduced.Secondly,the cubic b-spline wavelet is used to filter and reconstruct the tooth surfaces of cylindrical spur gear and spiral bevel gear respectively.The establishment of an accurate model for filtering optimization correction of tooth surface is realized.By analyzing the meshing force of cylindrical spur gears and the vibration stability of the tooth surface,it is shown that optimizing the tooth surface of spur gears with the multi-resolution characteristics of cubic b-spline wavelet is helpful to improve the bearing capacity and the meshing stability of the tooth surface.At the same time,by analyzing the fitting characteristic of spiral bevel gears and the machining error of the tooth surface,it is shown that the multi-resolution characteristic of cubic b-spline wavelet is helpful to improve the smoothness characteristic,reduce the fitting error of the tooth surface and improve the machining precision of the tooth surface.Finally,through the analysis of the grinding finishing and electrochemical finishing machining principle and the micro-morphological characteristics of the processed specimen,it can be seen that electrochemical finishing machining has a better ability to correct the high-frequency signals(that is,to reduce the tooth surface roughness and dimensional error)on the filtered tooth surface.At the same time,combined with the existing equipment,the design of the experimental device for electrochemical finishing machining of spiral bevel gears is presented.
