A new round of technological revolution,represented by technologies such as the Internet,big data,and artificial intelligence,is triggering profound changes in global manufacturing,including the automotive industry.External forces such as Internet companies and big data companies have joined the automotive industry.These new forces have joined the traditional automobile manufacturers to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry.The automobile industry has undergone tremendous changes.The automotive and information technology industries have completed.Cross-border integration has not only had a major impact on transportation,environment,energy,etc.,but also fundamentally changed the way people travel.Both traditional car companies and Internet companies have begun to deploy in the direction of new energy and intelligent networks.The direction and mode of future development of the automotive industry will usher in new changes.At present,mainstream global automobile manufacturers are accelerating the application of the latest technologies in the field of intelligent travel services by means of independent research and development,joint venture holding or strategic cooperation.This paper takes Volkswagen,which is in the leading position in China's automobile industry,as the research object,analyzes the intelligent travel business that is still in its infancy,and discusses what strategy should be selected in the wave of industry revolution to accelerate development.How does the manufacturing advantage expand to the server,especially the travel sector,in response to fierce competition from Internet companies and other car companies.This paper uses the relevant tools of strategic management and strategic analysis and decision-making tools(PEST,Five Forces Model,SWOT,QSPM)to carry out the macro environment,industry competition pattern and business development status of Volkswagen's intelligent travel business.Analyze and study how Volkswagen combines its strengths and weaknesses to select the most suitable development strategy in the opportunities and challenges faced by the intelligent travel business.Through the above analysis and research,this paper proposes that Volkswagen should choose a cooperative strategy to develop intelligence travel business,and establish a cooperative alliance to complement the advantages of Internet companies;create an open intelligent travel vehicle control platform;from focusing on products to paying attention to users;Consolidate strategic alliances through customized intelligent networked vehicles.Then it is proposed to speed up the manufacture of new energy vehicles;pay attention to the application of vehicle networking technology;accelerate the research and development of driverless vehicles;obtain user travel data through multiple channels;vigorously deploy charging pile infrastructure;and create key tasks for strategic implementation such as intelligent travel ecosystem suggest.Finally,this paper proposes the safeguards needed for the implementation of this strategy from the aspects of organizational coordination,talent development,financial support,and new model exploration.It is hoped that the research results of this paper will enable Volkswagen to draw lessons from the development of intelligence travel business development strategies and provide valuable experience for the transformation of other Chinese auto companies to travel service providers.
