| Since entering the new century,the international engineering contracting industry has developed rapidly and the market pattern is changeable.It is urgent to explore the structural changes and competitive situation of the international engineering contracting market under the complex environment.Under such circumstances,how to grasp the development trend of the industry market to maintain competitive advantage and realize the benign development of the industry market concentration has become a new and important issue facing the international engineering contracting industry.Taking international engineering contracting enterprises as the main research object,this paper studies the impact of market concentration and competition intensity of international engineering contracting enterprises by using ecological theory.In this paper,the market concentration of international engineering contracting industry is taken as the research object.On the basis of systematically sorting out and summarizing the relevant research and theoretical development status,the following key issues are deeply analyzed:Firstly,referring to the theory of enterprise ecology,based on the niche overlap index of international engineering contracting industry,this paper defines the market concentration index of international engineering contracting business and its calculation method,and obtains the time series of the market concentration index and the intensity map of the market concentration index of international engineering contracting industry.Secondly,the index of business market competition intensity for specific business areas is established,and the time series of the index of business competition intensity for 50 listed enterprises is obtained.Finally,we forecast the business market concentration and market competition intensity of international engineering contracting industry in the past six years,and analyze them according to the forecast data.The results show that there is a certain degree of business market concentration among international engineering contractors,and the annual business market concentration index shows a dynamic and cyclical trend with the change of years;Competition intensity of international engineering contracting industry is fluctuating in different business areas,and there are obvious differences among different business markets.Generally speaking,the order of competition intensity from high to low is transportation,industrial/petroleum,general buildings,power,water supply,sewer/waste,manufacturing,hazardous wastes and telecommunications.Through this study,the evolution mechanism and development trend of international contracting market structure are analyzed,and an evaluation method of niche overlap degree to measure market overlap degree is established.The results show that the changing trend and characteristics of concentration degree in international contracting market and the changes and differences of competition intensity in different business areas are found,and the international contracting market is clarified.To some extent,the evolution of the field structure will benefit the international engineering contracting enterprises to open up the market and better meet the challenges.It will also provide reference for Chinese contractors to accelerate the transformation and upgrading,and grasp the international engineering contracting business market and competitive development trend. |
