As a main equipment of substation,Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS)is becoming more and more widely used in China.As the core insulation component of GIS equipment,spacers are inevitably affected by aging factors such as electricity and heat during long-term operation.For solid insulation,once damaged,it cannot be recovered by itself and must be disposed or replaced in time.The health status of the spacer is closely related to the safe and reliable operation of the GIS equipment.Therefore,the following three aspects were carried out in this paper for the aging state and life assessment of the GIS spacer:Firstly,the key aging parameters of GIS spacers during long-term operation were analyzed and studied.The finite element multi-physics coupling simulation technology was used to contrust the 126kV GIS electric field and thermal field simulation model.Considering the complexity of the thermal field model,a 126kV GIS temperature rise experimental platform was built.The deviation between the experimental measurement results and the simulation results was less than 4?,which verified the validity and accuracy of the simulation method.The extraction technology for key aging parameters of GIS spacers was achieved.Secondly,the impulse voltage cumulative damage experimental platform and power frequency flashover experimental platform of the 126kV GIS spacers were built.The overvoltage level and overvoltage times in the whole life cycle of the field equipment were fully considered,and the impulse voltage cumulative damage experiment to the GIS spacer was carried out.The experimental study of damage characteristics quantified the influence of cumulative impulse voltage on the insulation performance of GIS spacers.Finally,the electro-thermal aging loss model of GIS spacer was established,and the life prediction method of spacer based on Monte Carlo simulation was proposed.Combined with the real operating data of field equipments,the life prediction case of GIS spacer based on Monte Carlo simulation was given,which provides a theoretical reference for field staff to develop operation and maintenance strategies.
