Solar energy is one of the most useful renewable energy resources which can be used to produce electric energy.Conventional power generation from fossil fuel causes the global warming day by day it's going to worse, renewable energy is eco-friendly to produce electricity. An important benefit of solar PV power systems is the use of plentiful and free energy from the sun. Moreover, these solar PV power systems still face major obstacles that hinder their extensive use due to their high cost and low efficiency compare to the other renewable energy. The renewable energy of solar PV power reduces their reliability in providing continuous electric supply to customers. The output power fluctuation of solar PV power systems due to variations in irradiance sunlight might lead to the unexpectable performance of the electric network. The primary objective of the research proposed in this thesis is to facilitate analysis of the impact of PV systems integration to the electric network. It can be achieved by analyzing the impacts of solar PV power integration on the performance of the electric distribution network accurately. This thesis contains six(6)chapters.In chapter one(1)the general introduction on solar PV power integration to the distribution network and a review on the impact power flow, voltage profile to the existing network. In chapter two(2),presented the knowledge about photovoltaic power system according to this research topic. Here discussed the importance of solar power generation as renewable energy based on the Bangladesh power system situation. Also,it has studied in this chapter impact of solar energy integration on the distribution network. In Chapter three(3),this chapter consists of the current situation of Bangladesh power sector present&future, the potential of renewable energy in Bangladesh&the future of solar energy on the Bangladesh power sector. In chapter four(4),design an existing power system and proposed solar power plant on the DIgSILENT PowerFactory software. In this chapter has done power flow analysis on the existing network without&with SPVG.The impact of voltage level, voltage profile, line loss, reactive power on the distribution grid were studied with a focus on the distribution grid of Tetulia 33kV.The possible solution for the extenuating impact of voltage support and line losses by local compensation of capacitor bank at SPVG plant beyond analysis.Chapter five(5)contains the short circuit analysis with and without SPVG on the existing network.Maximum and minimum fault level studied&compare on different buses that it is insignificant after integrated SPVG.Short circuit ratio is calculated to define the impact that it is suitable to integrate the SPVG on the proposed distributed bus and it indicates short circuit capacity is capable for integration.Chapter five(6)contains the conclusion of this thesis from simulation about continuation power flow on the system and discussed this project able to help on the power system by giving voltage support. The achievement of this thesis is helpful to analysis the impact of the integration of the solar power plant to the distribution network.Especially for the voltage profile and short circuit ratio.
