Neutral grounding technology for today's power system grids is a complex and complex problem involving power supply reliability and safety and stability,circuit design and structure,relay protection methods and options,overvoltage protection and insulation coordination,equipment Safe operation and personal safety,communication interference and system security operations.In the past few decades,China's power system 10 kV power grid has mainly chosen the way that the neutral point is not grounded and the arc suppression coil is grounded.With the development and advancement of science and technology,the power system is becoming more and more complex,and the original grounding method can no longer meet the development of urban power grid.Therefore,the neutral point of the 10 kV power grid begins to be grounded through low resistance.This grounding method was first used in large cities,such as Beijing,Shanghai,and Guangdong.Through the long-term operation practice of these cities,it is concluded that the neutral point through the low-resistance grounding is smaller than the over-voltage generated by the arc-suppression coil grounding,but the power supply reliability is low,which may cause circuit accidents.Therefore,there are still many disputes about the choice of neutral point grounding method for 10 kV power grids at home and abroad.The disputes are mainly the power supply reliability,personal safety,communication interference and operation and maintenance of these two grounding methods.In this paper,through the theoretical study of different grounding methods for the neutral point of power system 10 kV power grid,the characteristics of different grounding methods are analyzed and compared,and then the numerical calculation model is established according to the actual data and parameters of the 10 kV power grid of a power storage station,using MATLAB simulation software.Simulate and compare the fault point current,the non-fault phase overvoltage and the neutral point overvoltage generated when a single-phase ground fault occurs under different grounding methods under the change of the grounding resistancevalue,and compare the arcing of different grounding modes.The voltage limit was also analyzed.Through the simulation comparison and analysis,the neutral point is selected to run through the arc-suppression coil grounding mode,and the technical parameters of the arc-suppression coil and the grounding transformer are roughly calculated according to the parameters of the power plant.And according to the technical parameters to select the appropriate related equipment,to achieve automatic tracking compensation of the arc suppression coil.
