The new type of corn stalk recombinant glulam is an artificial wood substitute obtained by removing the leaves and stalks of the corn stalk and obtaining the straw fiber,and then being subjected to the processes of paving,drying,sizing,drying,cold pressing and solidification.It has the unique advantages of green environmental protection,controllable size,insect resistance,moisture-proof and so on.It is a new building material with great development potential,which integrates ecology and economic benefits.As a structural material,the mechanical properties of the new wood substitute need to be further studied.In order to provide a reliable theoretical basis for structural design and engineering application,the mechanical properties of the axially-tensioned components of corn stalk recombinant and corn stalk recombinant glulam were tested and simulated in this paper.Based on the experimental data and the statistical principle,the standard values of tensile strength and the calculation method of tensile bearing capacity of the axially-tensioned components of the new type of corn stalk recombinant glulam were determined.The results show that all the specimens suffer from brittle failure of fibers.According to the final failure mode,flat and oblique damage occurred in the corn stalk recombinant,and fracture and splitting damage occurred in the corn stalk recombinant glulam.The experimental data showed that the straight tensile strength of the corn stalk recombinantand the corn stalk recombinant glulam were 30.2 MPa and 27.3 MPa,and the straight grain tensile elastic modulu ware 16.8 GPa and 17.22 Gpa.The stress-strain curves of corn stalk recombinant changed linearly,and the stress-strain curves of corn stalk recombinant glulam changed linearly with a little fluctuation.The results of ABAQUS finite element simulation analysis show that the change of the length or section size of the component will affect the ultimate tensile capacity of the axially-tensioned component of the corn stalkrecombinantglulam.The longer the length,the smaller the ultimate tensile capacity,the larger the section size,the larger the ultimate tensile capacity,but the influence of the length and section size on the ultimate tensile capacity is not linear growth.Statistical analysis showed that the test data accorded with normal distribution.The standard value of tensile strength of the new type of corn stalkrecombinantglulam was 24.2 MPa,and the formula for calculating the ultimate tensile capacity was N=k1·k2·ftk·An.The research results of this paper lay a foundation for the theoretical research and design application of new corn stalk recombinant glulam,and provide reliable theoretical support for its popularization and application..
