Hybrid Transformer is a new topology that combines traditional transformers with AC-AC converters.Hybrid transformer realizes the control of current,voltage and active and reactive power by means of AC-AC converter while realizing grid energy transmission through traditional transformer,so other energy treatment device such as dynamic voltage compensator and static synchronous compensator can be omitted.The two-stage matrix converter(TSMC)is a "green economy" AC-AC converter with compact structure,input and output sine,power factor adjustment and many other advantages.In this paper,TSMC is introduced into the hybrid transformer,and a TSMC-based hybrid transformer(TSMC hybrid transformer)topology is proposed.The topology inherits the advantages and functions of the existing hybrid transformers,and solves the problems that the circuit structure is not compact,and the modulation strategy is complicated.TSMC hybrid transformers can be applied to many fields such as transmission and distribution,industrial production,etc.,with wide application prospects and research value.In this paper,the control measures of voltage drop and the research status of hybrid transformer are firstly described.The main topology of hybrid transformer is listed and its advantages and disadvantages are analyzed briefly.Secondly,the topology of TSMC hybrid transformer is proposed.The working principle and modulation strategy of TSMC hybrid transformer are introduced in detail.The voltage gain and load voltage range of topology are derived.The TSMC experimental platform is built to verify the modulation strategy of TSMC.The correctness and feasibility of the TSMC hybrid transformer topology and its modulation strategy are verified by MATLAB/Simulink simulation experiments.Then,for the function of TSMC hybrid transformer to compensate for the drop voltage,a load control strategy of TSMC hybrid transformer based on model predictive control is proposed.The design process of mathematical model,discrete state space model,predicted value and cost function is introduced in detail.The prediction voltage control algorithm is simulated by MATLAB/Simulink.The experimental results show that the model predictive control can make the system compensate the drop voltage quickly.Finally,aiming at the power control function of TSMC hybrid transformer,a power control strategy of TSMC hybrid transformer based on model predictive control is proposed.The principle and design process of power control algorithm are introduced in detail.The control algorithm is verified by MATLAB/Simulink.The experimental results prove the correctness of the control algorithm.
