At the same time, due to the lack of reasonable protection and development and utilization, the wetlands in the riverbanks and valleys in cities are either landfills, urban construction land or abandoned land in urban development, which are incompatible with the existing forms of cities. What's more, because of the unconsciousness of the surrounding residents and enterprises and the poor management of government supervision departments,Some wetlands, rivers and beaches have turned into pollutant discharges and garbage piles. This phenomenon is becoming more and more serious, not only affecting the beauty of the urban environment, resulting in the destruction of the ecological environment, but also because many wetlands themselves are also related to the daily water use of the surrounding residents. The problems we are facing at present make us face up to the restoration and research of urban wetlands, and make this restoration and transformation lasting, not in the nausea cycle of repeated treatment and re-pollution.Therefore,the concept of flexible design emerged as the times require.Through grasping the concept of flexible design and literature review, this paper puts forward the necessity and urgency of urban valley wetland design research under the concept of flexible design.Through the summary and analysis of mature cases at home and abroad,we can learn excellent experience and get thinking and inspiration.Taking the wetland in Ma'anxi Valley of Chongqing as the design object, the problems of height difference, uneven discharge during high and low water periods,River backflow, wetland pollution and patch breakage were solved by means of elastic thinking and elastic design methods.Using the existing terrain to make platform-type space, horizontal diversion dam and floating bank and trestle to adapt to the change of water level, returning farmland to forestry and restoring the original ecological and biological balance, etc. Finally, the site planning and design are summarized.
