The steel structure not only has the advantages of light weight, high strength, uniform texture and good toughness, but also has the advantages of simple fabrication and environmental protection.Steel joints play a very important role in steel structures.Researchers in various countries have done a lot of research work on steel structure joints. The connection of steel structure joints can be divided into rigid connection, articulated connection and semi-rigid connection.Semi-rigid joints have good deformability.By reasonable design, the joints have better energy dissipation and seismic performance. In this paper,a RBS semi-rigid joint with an extended end-plate is proposed. The beam and column are connected into a whole by a high-strength bolt through the end-plate to form a semi-rigid joint. At the same time, the plastic hinge at the end of the beam is moved out by the dog-bone.Structurally,the weld section at the end of the beam is increased and the flange size of the beam is appropriately weakened. In this paper, the performance of RBS semi-rigid end-plate joints is numerically analyzed on the basis of theoretical deduction. The main work is as follows:(1)On the basis of deducing the stiffness equation of semi-rigid joints, the concept of equivalent moment of inertia is introduced, and the relationship between equivalent moment of inertia and the basic parameters a,B and beam height of RBS beam is analyzed through a large number of software simulations, and the relationship equation between the parameters and the coefficient of equivalent moment of inertia of RBS is fitted.(2)Making the specimen of RBS semi-rigid joint with extended end-plate,and using the system of graded loading in the laboratory, recording the stress and deformation in the process of loading. After sorting out the data, the bending momentrotation curve of the specimens is drawn.(3)Using ANSYS software to establish the same finite element model as the specimen, under the same loading system, the finite element model is calculated, and the simulation results are compared with the experimental results. On this basis, the parameters of RBS semi-rigid joints with extended end plates are further changed, and the effects of parameters on the performance of joints are analyzed. Finally, based on the three-fold model, the bending moment and rotation angle formulas of RBS joints with extended end plates are fitted.(4)Two single-span and double-storey steel frames, rigid frame and RBS semirigid frame with extended end plates, are established by using finite element software. The seismic performance of the two frames under EI seismic waves is analyzed and some conclusions are drawn.(5)Summarize the full text and put forward the future research content.
