In automotive electronics,high-speed development today,the number of automotive interior Electronic Control Unit(ECU)more and more,vehicle network structure is becoming more complex,continue to use the traditional network not only can’t meet the development needs of the modern automobile but also led to many problems,such as the complexity of the vehicle wiring,communication speed slow,poor security,in this turn of the era,FlexRay technology is introduced.FlexRay technology is the standard for next generation automotive network protocols,and has the advantage of high bandwidth,high security,high fault tolerance,high flexibility and better time of uncertainty,etc.,can replace CAN network.FlexRay technology can not only bring more cars to superior performance,but also has broader application prospects.This paper studies the FlexRay characteristics and application in Pure Electric Vehicle network communication system.Focuses on the FlexRay network protocol specification and its basic characteristics;according to the structural characteristics of Pure Electric Vehicle design network structure of Pure Electric Vehicles,Pure electric car designed three-node network,which network protocol developed according to the principles and functions of each controller.It describes the communication network simulation software CANoe,and its application to build the network simulation models.The Freescale microcontroller MC9S12XF512 and NXP driver TJA1080 are main parts of hardware circuit;hardware mainly includes chip peripheral circuit design and transceiver design;software development mainly includes the clock setting,FlexRay model’s initialization and data transmission and reception and so on;the setting up of message buffer and protocol parameters is the main part of FlexRay model’s initialization.This paper compares FlexRay and CAN networks,proves FlexRay is a high speed,real-time,reliable vehicle network communications protocol which consistent with development of next-generation vehicle network needs.Reasonable allocation of the FlexRay protocol can effectively apply to vehicle networks to improve vehicle performance.
