Water resource is not only the material basis for human survival,but also the strategic economic resource.As the situation of water resource becomes more and more severe,the distribution and utilization of water resources have been focused widely by international communities and the academia,and the relationship between water resource and social economy has also become an important basis for the optimized configuration of water resources.In the early stage,we put forward the water resource accessibility evaluation model(SHRD)based on ’the point of the watershed to take water1.In order to study the relationship between water resources and economic development,we further improved the SHRD model in this study.In this paper,the method of geomorphic profile fitting analysis is adopted,so that the results can better reflect the geomorphic characteristics of the basin.In addition,this paper realizes the spatial visualization of China’s county-level GDP through spatial interpolation,and explores the internal relationship between water resources and economic development.This paper includes theoretical research and empirical study.Achievements of these researches are as follows:(1)We propose a parameter analysis method of geomorphic profile fitting based on DEM and improve the modeling method of SHRD.(2)We assess the accessibility index of water resources in China and analyze its spatial distribution.(3)We realize the spatial visualization of China’s county-level regional GDP.(4)We quantitatively evaluate the correlation between water accessibility and economic development in China and analyze the reasons.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)We use mathematical function to fit the geomorphologic profile curve.The results show that the parabolic model is the best choice when the studied area is the Hanjiang River basin.The mathematical function is used to describe the geomorphic profile and extract the feature points,which can provide reference significance for the parameter selection of other geological analysis models.(2)The overall distribution trend of water accessibility in China is gradually decreasing from southeast to northwest.The result is effected by the landscape and climate.In terms of topography,the topography of China is higher in the west and lower in the east,decreasing step by step.In terms of precipitation,it gradually decreases from the southeast coast to the northwest inland.Therefore,the spatial distribution of water accessibility index in China is consistent with the objective fact.(3)The spatial distribution of China’s county-level GDP shows an overall trend that the southeast coastal areas are superior to the northwest inland areas,and has obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics.(4)This paper explores the correlation between water accessibility and China’s GDP through Pearson coefficient,global bivariate spatial autocorrelation index and new spatial correlation coefficient.The experimental results show that there is a significant positive correlation between water accessibility and GDP,but water accessibility is not the dominant factor affecting regional economy.
