The pollution flashover accident seriously threatens the safe and stable operation of the power system.It is of great significance to analyze the natural pollution characteristics of the insulators,and to further supplement the natural pollution test data matching the artificial contamination test and simulation.Based on Equivalent Salt Deposit Density(ESDD),microparticle image analysis method and Atomic Absorption Spectrometry(AAS),the natural pollution test to XP-70 type suspended porcelain insulators,the analysis of the effect of ESDD from the characteristics of natural pollution of insulators and its soluble component are applied.for the thesis in order to provide a reference to prevent flashover of transmission line.Firstly,the characterization of insulator pollution,the research status of natural pollution and filth soluble components,the influence of pollution and filth soluble components on the flashover voltage of insulators,and the influencing factors of insulators contamination are expounded.Secondly,an experimental platform is built to collect pollution samples of different test cycles and to analyze the influence of pollution characteristics and the difference of pollution level between the upper and lower surface of insulators under natural pollution from pollution accumulation time,pollution severity,relative air humidity and contamination particle size to insulators.Finally,the pollution samples of different cumulative months were collected to analyze the influence and correlation of the main soluble components Ca2+ and Na+on ESDD.Analysis research shows that influence of insulator pollution is mainly reflected in the role of wet deposition caused by gravity,especially the relative air humidity.The pollution severity has a significant influence on the natural pollution characteristics on the upper surface of the insulator and presents a positive correlation.When the AQI rose from 62 to 265,the ESDD of upper surface of the insulator is increased by 65.6%.The ESDD of insulator located at the test site of Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone is mainly affected by the interaction of Na+ and Ca2+.The correlation coefficient between Na?mass fraction and corresponding ESDD reached 0.74,and Ca2+reached 0.50.
