Cable crane is a kind of long span lifting and conveying machinery,which has the function of horizontal transportation and vertical hoisting.The trolley makes use of the steel rope suspended between two fulcrums for reciprocating transportation.Compared with other lifting equipment on land,the cable crane has many advantages,such as long span,fast running speed,simple structure,short construction cycle and low cost.Moreover,it is less affected by the construction operation sites and topographic conditions.Therefore,the cable crane is widely used in highway,railway,bridge project and water conservancy project,which is used for horizontal and vertical transportation of building materials and components.The cable crane tower structure resists the main cable force,backstay cable force,wind load,temperature load.To ensure the safety and stability of the tower structure,it is particularly important to analyze the mechanical properties of the tower structure.In this thesis,according to the specifications and structural forms of cable crane,many kinds of steel section and circular steel pipe section are selected.The finite element modeling of the LQ800 kN cable crane structure and its rock anchor beam are built using the finite element software MIDAS/Civil and Workbench.Based on the results,the structural stiffness and strength are analysed and the structural deformation,stress distribution are obtained.In this thesis,the main contributions can be shown in the follows:(1)The three-dimensional finite element model of the cable crane tower structure is established using MIDAS/Civil finite element software.According to the actual construction situation,and considering the angle variation between the main cable and the horizontal direction,overall temperature load variation,the wind load condition,eight static calculation conditions are designed to analyze the overall displacement and stress distribution of the tower structure.(2)To analyze the mechanical properties and calculate its distribution of the deformation and stress,the finite element model of the rock anchor beam is established by Workbench software.(3)Overall stability and local stability of the tower structure are analysed.(4)MIDAS/Civil software is used to analyze the eigenvalue of the tower structure.Then the vibration mode period and vibration mode response of the tower structure are obtained.(5)Linear elasticity time-history analysis of the frame structure under rare earthquakes is done,and the variation regularity of the displacement and time-history acceleration at the typical position of the tower structure is computed.According to the norm,the dynamic response results are analyzed and summarized.In this thesis,the mechanical analysis of cable crane is done using finite element method.The results and conclusions provide a useful reference for the safety assessment of cable crane.
