Simulation Analysis Of Influence Of Truck Center Of Gravity Offset On Braking Side Slip Based On ADAMS

Brake skid is one of the factors to evaluate the stability of braking,According to the mechanical analysis,the change of the center of gravity of the vehicle will have an effect on the braking side slip.The main research content of this paper is the influence of truck center of gravity offset on braking side slip,to find a safe speed threshold for semi-trailer avoiding brake slip at different offsets in center of gravity.With the ADAMS software,a semi-trailer model including steering module,body module,front suspension module,spring steel plate module,etc.was established,and the model was modified by setting the fixed connection between the tractor and the trailer to get a model of a truck with the same weight and length.Use ADAMS/Car to simulate the straight braking of two vehicle models,and continue adjust the position of the center of gravity along vertical and height.Then the braking simulation experiment is carried out,and a large amount of simulation data is obtained,to find the center of gravity offset in different directions’ effect of the side slip.After finishing,it is found that the change of the height position of the center of gravity has a slight influence on the straight brake side slip but has little effect;the offset of the center of gravity position in the lateral position has a significant influence on the brake side slip,with the increase of the offset The side slip of the car body is more serious.The change of the center of gravity in the longitudinal position has the most complicated effect on the brake side slip.It is manifested as the backward shift of the center of gravity after the original position,and the body side slip phenomenon occurs during braking,even if the dangerous state is not reached.The body side slip angle is also getting larger and larger.In addition,the center of gravity shifts back more backwards,and the side slip time will be later,but once the side slip occurs,the side slip angle will be larger.Because the influence of the height change of the center of gravity during the straight braking process on the braking side slip is not obvious,this paper also focuses on the safe speed of the obvious braking side slip of the semi-trailer when the center of gravity changes in the horizontal and vertical positions.Adjust the hard point coordinates to change the position of the center of gravity of the semi-trailer and then using the ADAMS to perform the braking experiment.During the experiment,the speed of the starting moment of the braking behavior is continuously adjusted until the vehicle body has a significant side slip at the speed.The speed of the previous experiment is considered to be the safe speed threshold.
