On The Application Of The White Space Technique Of Traditional Chinese Painting In Modern Architecture Design

The white space technique from traditional Chinese painting is an important element in art language and visual expression,which aims to reflect the wonderful state of a virtual-real contrast.Later on,the method of'leaving a white space' was widely and closely combined with artistic design.'Leaving a white space' is the art of dealing with two-dimensional blank space,while the main target of architecture design is to construct three-dimensional spaces.And it has some significance of researching of its applicability in three-dimensional effect to introduce the idea of white space into architecture.Currently,most studies on white space of architecture are discussing about the value and significance of the its existence,while the field of the theories and methods of converting the two-dimensional painting language into three-dimensional architecture form of white space is basically empty.Therefore,this paper takes this as the starting point,discusses about the conversion of white space from two dimensions to three dimensions,and holds that it's necessary to study the isomorphism between them.This paper first summarizes the origin of white space technique in traditional Chinese painting and discovers the visual language formed by white space,then further studies how the language of white space coincides with modern architecture ideas.Secondly,it applies the white space technique in architecture design and studies the expression mode,characteristics and atmosphere creation of white space technique in modern architecture.Then,this paper digs deeper the design method of white space,summarizing design strategies related to the plan,the space and the environment of architecture,emphasizing the close relationship between architecture and white space.Finally,combining with design practice,this paper summarizes and innovates on the basis of existing studies and put forwards the conclusion and produces design theories and ideas of some value of reference.As the society develops,the design method of white space is shown in a brand new form,providing more possibilities for the combination of traditions and modernity.The technique of leaving white space,whether as a two-dimensional visual language or as a three-dimensional expression in modern art,is showing diversified connections and les.This whole paper analyzes this technique with multidisciplinary knowledge of aesthetics,vision and psychology,aiming to explain the research significance of the conversion of white space from two dimensions to three dimensions,hoping to deeply clarify the application value of the white space idea in architecture design,and enrich the diversity of the white space in architecture design.
