Dental air is a necessity in the oral cavity treatment process.It is mainly used to drive the high-speed turbine handpiece to cut and repair the damaged tooth body,as well as to dry the tooth surface before repairing the tooth,so as to make the adhesive adhere firmly to the tooth surface.The air quality must meet the three technical indexes of oil-free,dry and sanitary.Unqualified dental air will not only affect the treatment effect and reduce the service life of dental handpiece,but also pose a threat to the health of patients.Therefore,the study of dental electric oil-free air compressor technology is very important to change the existing products which have uncontinuous air supply,unstable air quality,low degree of intelligence and to improve oral cavity treatment effect and environment.This paper improves the traditional workflow and puts forward the integrated workflow.And it compares and researches the big three of the mainstream dehumidifying technology:cooling,adsorption and membrane dehumidification.According to the requirements of dental air moisture content?atmospheric pressure dew point-20??,it is concluded that:membrane dehumidification has stable performance?atmospheric pressure dew point-20?40??,compact appearance,no electricity equipment,long service life?up to 10 years?,and other advantages,which is suitable for dental oil free air compressor.Through the selection of compressor head,filter and membrane dryer,design calculation and layout design of plate-fin heat exchanger,air storage tank and connecting pipeline,and adoption of SolidWorks simulation,we complete the integrated structure design of dental electric oil-free air compressor.The finite element analysis and structure optimization of the base are carried out,and the vibration and heat dissipation problems of the air compressor are analyzed.According to the analysis results of the control system function requirement and with the help of the EPLAN software,part of hardware design was developed.With the help of the WinCC configuration software and PLC program development software,the design of software system was completed.And the automatic control of air compressor,gas quality on-line monitoring,abnormal automatic alarm is available,which improves the stability and safety of the system.The results of the performance test of the prototype show that the dental air quality produced by it is better than the standard GB50751-2012:Oil:0 mg/Nm3,carbon monoxide?CO?:0?V/V?,carbon dioxide?CO2?:300×10-6?V/V?,sulfur dioxide?SO2?:0?V/V?,and nitrogen oxide?NOx?:0?V/V?.
