| As an outstanding representative of Chinese classical gardens,Jiangnan Garden combines the wisdom of skilled craftsmen with high artistic value and historical value.At the same time,the political economy and culture behind it are worthy of study and consideration.In addition,during the critical period of the development of the private gardens in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,there were two different gardening purposes.On the one hand,the political turmoil in the late Ming Dynasty led to the general retreat of the scholar-officials,and on the other hand,the prosperity of the commodity economy.The luxury of the competition.Taking the Jichang Park as an example,this paper explores the development of the gardens in the middle and late Ming Dynasty and the profound influence on the later generations through the two dimensions of seclusion and competition in the process of garden construction.The political,economic and cultural influences of the middle and late Ming Dynasty affected the development of private gardens in the south of the Yangtze River in the period.The loosening of politics,the flourishing development of the commodity economy and the transformation of cultural aesthetics made the gardens have their own uniqueness,although they inherited and continued the gardens of the previous period.The elegant style,but due to the competitive factors,began to show a refined character,reflecting the social aesthetic orientation of this period from the side.By analyzing the seclusion and competition of the private gardens in the late Ming Dynasty,we can see that seclusion and competition are not completely separated,which is the product of natural integration in a special era background.At the same time,we can also see the unique living conditions of the scholars in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.They both advertised seclusion and pursued pleasure.This reflects that the group of scholars at this time had begun to construct a spiritual home that is different from the politics of the temple. |
