Half-pavilion,as a special architectural form,is mainly built in Chinese classical gardens and courtyard,which not only has the actual function of pavilion,but also has its own aesthetic value.In addition to it,it is valuable to study the relationship between its unique modeling and its surrounding environment,and plays a positive role in the inspiration of contemporary design.Taking the Cold Spring Pavilion in the Wangshi garden as the research object,coupled with the basic research of textual research,consulting and sortign out the literature,the cold spring pavilion and related things at Wangshi garden are made an field investigation,and it tries to study the Semi-pavilion and its function in the paper.First of all,with the historical development and evolution of Semi-pavilion and plastic arts summary,it is understood that pavilion is an important part of traditional architecture in our country.In addition,the Wangshi gargen and the related things of the cold spring pavilion in the garden are made textual research.In the end,taking the cold spring pavilion as an example,the role of the cold spring pavilion in the courtyard of Dianchunyi is analyzed,and the internal relationship between the pavilion and pavilion with similar characteristics are made a comparison,so as to probe into the functional significance and cultural connotation of the semi-pavilion in the garden,and it's obtained the relationship between the Cold Spring Pavilion and its surrounding environment,that is,the cold spring pavilion can make the Dianchunyi courtyard with limited space clear in hierarchy,rich in architectural form,and break the pattern distribution of single courtyard.In addition,the Ming Room structure in the Metropolitan Museum of New York designed by the small countryside of the Dianchunyi is compared so as to try to combine the function of the cold spring pavilion with the feasibility use of modern design application in order to find a new design language.
