Composite steel plate shear wall(C-SPW)is a new type of lateral load resisting system.Due to its significant shear bearing capacity, lateral stiffness and energy dissipation capacity,it is increasingly used in high-rise building structures.Based on ABAQUS,the inelastic analysis of C-SPW with concrete encasement on one side of the steel plate under monotonic lateral loading is conducted. The interactive action between infill steel plate, concrete panel, headed studs, the steel frame are revealed, and the responses of structural elements in C-SPW are investigated. The effects of aspect ratio of wall, steel plate thickness, concrete panel thickness, headed stud diameter and steel plate strength grade on the shear force in headed stud are analyzed.Based on the finite element analysis results,a formula for the shear force demand of headed stud in the design of C-SPW with single sided concrete panel is proposed. The conclusions captured in this paper are presented as follow:The lateral resistance of C-SPW is mainly provided by the steel plate, while the concrete panel mainly plays a role of restraining the buckling of steel plate;the headed studs that provide major contribution to carry shear force focus on the boundary rows(columns)except the corner one;the shear demand of headed stud is related to the aspect ratio of the C-SPW,the stud diameter, the concrete panel thickness,as well as the steel plate thickness and steel plate strength grade. |
