In recent years,the technology of automatic assembly line has developed rapidly in China.With the emergence of intelligent factory and flexible manufacturing concept,the original manual assembly method has been gradually replaced by automatic assembly.Manual assembly has such problems as large labor consumption,insufficient assembly precision,uncontrolled production beats,imprecise detection and calibration,and no monitoring of the running state of the line body,resulting in rough assembly,high defect rate and low assembly efficiency.The automatic assembly line has the following characteristics: firstly,the line body process is relatively perfect,for the more complex assembly process,can be disassembled according to the assembly process,each action to select the corresponding mechanical components,the development of control strategy to complete the automatic operation;Secondly,the control process is precise,and the assembly time is relatively fixed.It is friendly to the timing beat design,and can maximize the utilization rate of line body under the premise of stable and controlled assembly beat,so as to assemble more artifacts in unit time.Thirdly,the intervention of IPC and sensors makes the assembly and detection errors smaller and the accuracy further improved.In this paper,the car steering wheel assembly line on the basis of the original manual assembly line assembly action,the use of PLC,servo control system,a variety of sensing systems and other industrial devices to cooperate,complete the automation transformation.The work mainly includes the following aspects:1.With the assembly action as the reference,each assembly step is analyzed in detail,and the assembly line form and timing beat are planned.Maximize assembly line utilization while ensuring bottleneck time.Work out the assembly line station plan.2.Design the mechanical structure of the line body and demonstrate its feasibility by taking the work station as the unit and combining with the assembly process.3.Make overall planning for the control system,and coordinate the operation of assembly,monitoring,servo,testing,etc.So that the whole assembly line can be automatically run in order to monitor the assembly action,and strive to reasonable assembly action,product quality control,small assembly error.4.Automatized the spring force detection of the original low-precision ringing components and the gap detection procedures between the steering wheel and the standard DAB module.The assembly precision is improved by adding sensors,presses,manipulators,servo cylinders and other devices,and the multi-function key conduction test items are added through the LIN protocol.5.After the assembly line construction is completed,the line body is debugged for no-load and load operation,so that it can reach the optimal state of operation and exert greater efficiency.
